The creaky wooden door swings open
as you walk into the tavern. The aroma of hot
food reaches your nose. Your stomach starts to
growl. "Grrrrr....." In front of you
several tough-looking men are gambling while
enjoying the scantly dressed dancing women in the
centre of the taproom. A story teller is
entertaining a few men who are totally hooked
onto every word and cadences the story teller
speaks. The owner of the inn, a slightly plump
but otherwise strong man in his fiveties try to
break up a fight with his two bartenders ,which
had started over some whore-ownership dispute.
You found an empty table and sat down on a stool
and called for some hot stew and Ale.
Welcome to the Sign of the White Shield, a
reputable tavern in some location unknown to non
fantasy fans. This is the very place where
aspiring authors can post up their works of
fantasy for all to see not to mention for fantasy
fans to read about good works of fantasy never
richly deserved for their excellence. Now to the
stories.....together with some Ale of course. It
will not be fitting without Ale, isn't it?
